This is one of the more hardworking spaces in our home. It is a large, dedicated space that functions entirely as a mudroom, connecting our garage to the rest of the house. The room already had a full closet with sliding doors, which holds our coats and snow gear for every season. I wanted to extend that storage into the rest of the mudroom, especially for boots, shoes, and small items. The closet is helpful for bulkier pieces, but the drop zone is perfect for the items we reach for several times a day.
